cyanotypes

Cyanotypes are blueprints. They're known as one of the oldest photographic processes, which involves coating a surface (paper or fabric) with a solution of light sensitive iron salts, sun exposure, and a water wash. The result? A beautiful white image on a distinctive blue background, produced without the use of a camera. Originally used to capture and preserve herbarium collections, engineering and architectural documents, and now art.
